Home Service Videos
Effective date: August 1, 2026 · Last updated: August 19, 2026
1. Who We Are
Home Service Videos (“Home Service Videos,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides video production and video marketing services to home-service companies. We operate the website homeservicevideos.com (the “Site”).
Home Service Videos is the business name of a general partnership between Welby Marketing Ltd. and Geet Chahil Productions Inc. Our mailing address is 13 Queenston Street, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws.
2. Scope
This policy applies to personal information collected through the Site, our contact and booking forms, phone calls to numbers published on the Site, personalized proposal pages, and our business and marketing communications. If you become a client, our services agreement with you may contain additional privacy and confidentiality terms; those terms govern for the services they cover.
3. Personal Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. Depending on how you interact with us, this includes:
- Contact and inquiry details: your name, email address, phone number, company name, the services you are interested in, your message, and your answer to “How did you hear about us?”
- Call bookings: your name, email address, phone number, and the meeting time you select through our scheduling tool.
- Phone calls: your phone number, the number you dialed, and any voicemail you leave.
- Correspondence: emails, messages, and other communications you exchange with us.
- Proposal and client information: information you share when requesting or reviewing a proposal, or during onboarding and service delivery if you become a client.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect information using cookies, tags, and similar technologies:
- Device and technical data: browser and device type, operating system, IP address, and approximate location (city or region) derived from your IP address.
- Usage data: pages viewed, referring pages and links, time on page, scroll depth, and interactions such as clicks on buttons, phone numbers, and forms (including forms started but not submitted).
- Video engagement: whether and how much of the videos embedded on the Site you watch.
Marketing attribution data. We tag our advertising so we can measure it. When you arrive at the Site from an ad or campaign link, we collect campaign parameters (such as UTM codes) and advertising click identifiers (such as Google’s GCLID). If you submit a form, these values may be captured in hidden form fields and stored with your inquiry in our customer relationship management (CRM) system so we can attribute the inquiry to the campaign or source that produced it.
Call tracking. Phone numbers displayed on the Site may be tracking numbers that route to our main business line. When you call one, our call-tracking provider collects your phone number, the number dialed, and the date, time, and duration of the call. Calls may be recorded or monitored for quality and record-keeping; where a call is recorded, you will be notified at the start of the call.
4. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries, schedule and hold calls, and prepare and deliver proposals;
- Provide, administer, and improve our services and manage client relationships;
- Measure marketing performance, including attributing inquiries, calls, and bookings to the campaign or source that produced them;
- Operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Site;
- Advertise our services, including measuring ad performance and showing ads to previous Site visitors (see Section 6);
- Communicate with you, including service communications about your inquiry or engagement and, where you have consented, marketing communications (see Section 7);
- Meet legal, regulatory, tax, and accounting obligations; and
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights and the safety of others.
5. Consent
We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent. Depending on the sensitivity of the information and your reasonable expectations, consent may be express (for example, when you submit a form or agree to receive marketing email) or implied (for example, when you contact us and reasonably expect a reply, or when you continue to use the Site after notice of our analytics practices).
You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting us (Section 16) or by using the opt-out tools described in Section 6. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to serve you.
6. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies so the Site functions, so we can understand how it is used, and so we can advertise efficiently.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. We use Google Analytics 4, deployed through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the Site — pages viewed and events such as clicks, scrolling, form interactions, and video engagement. To learn how Google collects and processes data, see “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Google Ads. We use Google Ads to advertise our services. This includes conversion measurement (linking ad clicks to inquiries, calls, and bookings) and may include remarketing, which shows our ads to people who previously visited the Site. You can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada at youradchoices.ca.
Embedded video. Videos on the Site are embedded from YouTube, a Google service. YouTube may set cookies and collect viewing data in accordance with Google’s privacy policy.
Your choices. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. The Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
7. Email & Electronic Messages (CASL)
We send commercial electronic messages in accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We send marketing email only with your consent — express, or implied as CASL permits (for example, through an existing business relationship or a conspicuously published business email address). Every marketing email identifies us and includes an unsubscribe mechanism, which we honour promptly. Messages responding to your inquiry, confirming a booking, or administering an engagement are service messages, not marketing.
8. How We Share Personal Information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. With vendors that process information on our behalf — website hosting, analytics and advertising (Google), CRM, scheduling, call tracking, and email and communications providers — under obligations to protect it and use it only to provide services to us.
- Professional advisors. With our accountants, lawyers, insurers, and similar advisors where needed, under confidentiality obligations.
- Business transactions. In connection with a financing, reorganization, amalgamation, incorporation of a successor entity, or a sale or transfer of some or all of our business or assets, personal information may be disclosed to prospective or actual counterparties and their advisors, with appropriate safeguards, and may be transferred to a successor entity, which may continue to use it in a manner consistent with this policy.
- Legal requirements. Where required or permitted by law — to comply with applicable law, court orders, or lawful requests by authorities; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Home Service Videos, our clients, or others.
9. Where Information Is Stored; Transfers Outside Canada
We are based in Ontario, Canada. Some of our service providers — including Google and other software vendors — store or process information in the United States or other countries. While personal information is outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, and courts, law enforcement, and national-security authorities there may be able to access it. We use contractual and other safeguards to require a comparable level of protection from our service providers.
10. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — including maintaining business records, meeting legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and resolving disputes — and then securely delete or anonymize it. Retention periods vary by the type of information and purpose: inquiry and marketing-analytics records are kept only while they remain useful for the purposes for which they were collected, while client engagement and financial records are kept for legally required periods.
11. Safeguards
We protect personal information with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including limiting access to those who need it, using reputable service providers, and using encryption in transit where supported. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Your Rights: Access, Correction & Complaints
Subject to exceptions set out in applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete. You may also withdraw consent as described in Section 5, unsubscribe from marketing at any time, and raise questions or complaints about our practices.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer (Section 16). We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the time required by law.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada: priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.
13. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to or embed third-party websites and services, such as YouTube or our scheduling provider. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review. We are not responsible for the practices of third parties.
14. Children
The Site and our services are intended for businesses and their representatives. They are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. We will post material changes on this page and, where required by law, seek renewed consent. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means the updated policy applies to you.
